I would say that there is a variety of ages that do work here, but there are more teenagers probably than there are of others. I would also like to mention it did get a little bit out of hand for a while and there is a two-week notice that is required and three-week notice if it is longer. They were amazing about accommodating people that needed to take off at the last minute or even while on shift. The hardest part of my job was either taking out the trash because it got really heavy or keeping up in lunch rush with the phone, register, and all of the take-out platforms but otherwise, you are very well prepared for everything. It is critically important that you do know about the company and the founders of Maple Street (like the mission and reason of Maple Street) before you start (and even in the interview it is amazing if you know something.). I never really had plans to move up in the company but the people that did have those intentions moved up fast. I would recommend this place to anybody just starting out. Both of the managers of when I worked there are gone from that location but they definitely train you and everyone to know what you are doing and talking about. I would definitely say that the company holds true to their 'family atmosphere' promise.

I learned SO much! The lunch rushes are usually always a little overwhelming but the team that I worked with was amazing and was very helpful and understanding. This was my first job and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was never officially fired, nor was there a conversation that was had about why I was getting fired. Eventually people were getting fired for no reason (or the reason didn't make any sense) and people quit (understandably) and then some of us just never got scheduled again. Eventually no one was showing up for work because they were sick of how we were being treated and how basically nothing was working. And then you start actually listening to your coworkers and you start seeing the downfalls in management. You get told you'll be apart of the family, but it's more like being a family during thanksgiving and your toxic family members are all there cooking with you.Īt the beginning it's so nice and fun. (printers, we ran out of food and containers and paper products all the time, no organization or communication) We waited months for new equipment.

Management doesn't acknowledge anything unless it's positive and reflects good on them or the company.
